About JanJan Niklas Wolfe (email: wolfe@harveysilverglate.com, office phone: 617-876-5610) joined Harvey at the Cambridge outpost in August 2006. Born in Copenhagen, Denmark and raised in Brookline, Massachusetts, Jan graduated from Boston College in 2006 with a B.A. in English. Jan served on the editorial board for The Heights, Boston College's independent student newspaper, for which he penned more than ninety news and features articles. He interned at The Atlantic Monthly and has written for Commonwealth Magazine. In 2005, Jan attended the University of Paris IV (La Sorbonne), where he studied twentieth century French literature. His senior thesis examined the fate of Jewish intellectuals during Josef Stalin’s anti-cosmopolitan raids of the 1940s. About JamesJames Fallows Tierney (email: jtierney@harveysilverglate.com, office phone 617-876-5610) joined Harvey’s office in June 2007. Originally from At Brown, James served as a student member of the University Disciplinary Committee, as a teaching assistant in the Biology department, and as president of the Brown Outing Club. One paper he wrote, defending the extension of habeas corpus to suspected terrorists, was published in the Dartmouth Law Journal. Similarly, his master’s thesis challenged the Central Intelligence Agency’s high value terrorist detainee program—the CIA’s “secret prison” system—as inconsistent with international humanitarian and human rights law. |
